Do you know that there is a software, just beside of you by which you can edit your image, take screenshots and get the CSS color code of an object? Yes it’s Potato Screen Capture, a great software from Zamaan Software. Check out details procedure below.

How to Work with Potato Screen Capture:

1. Download and install the software.

2. Open the application from either system tray or All Programs.

3. Look at the top of the window. There are 5 options for different 5 application types.

A. First one for selecting a region automatically by layer identification and then taking a screenshot of the visible portion. Once you have clicked on this option, a “+” sign like cursor would appear. Just click once to get the screenshot of the visible portion automatically.

Now for saving, click on “GO” and select your hard drive location. You can change the output image extension to JPG/PNG/BMP/TIF/GIF if needed.

B. Now about the second option. This utility is for taking a screenshot by selecting a region manually. First click on this option and then left clicking your mouse select a region that you want to screenshot of. Follow second paragraph of step A to save.

C. Now about the third option. You can use this utility for full screen capturing. It’s so simple, just click on this option and click the cursor on your desktop. You can use a hot key F7 to do so. Follow second paragraph of step A to save.

D. The 4th option facilitates you to magnify a region for easy view.

E. The last option is very useful to the web designers. It offers you to find out the CSS color code of an object in just a single click. Pick the pen tool and roll over the object to instantly get the six digit code. You can read our another article to find out CSS color code in different method.
