How to Retrieve a Saved Password in Mozilla Firefox

Have you ever faced the situation that after registering on a profile based site you have totally forgotten the password. In that case you can retrieve it by clicking on the “Forgot Password” link but it’s a time consuming matter. You have to enter the username and then you will get a mail with a link through which you have to change it.

I am telling you no need to pass through such a lengthy procedure, your browser Mozilla Firefox can show the password within a second if you saved it before.

When you have clicked on the “Save Password” option, your browser saved it permanently in its database and then whenever you attempt to login, it automatically enters the password accessing from there.

So it’s clearly visible here that if you can reach to the database, you can get the password. Check the steps below to do this job…

1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser and click on “Tools>Options” in tool bar.

4. A small popup should open up to prompt you whether you wish to show the passwords or not. Simply click on “Yes” and view the saved passwords with corresponding usernames.

Note:

1. You are not able to retrieve any unsaved passwords. So before retrieve make sure that you have saved the password.

2. No need to get panicked while you are using a cafe or public computer, just do not save the password.

2. Now a black screen will appeared containing 7-8 options. Select the Safe Mode option. If you want to connect your PC then select Safe Mode with Networking.
