With the launching of the new Wordpress 3.0 bloggers are now wanting to upgrade their Wordpress to 3.0 version anymore. It comes with lots of extra features but be careful while start to upgrade because upgrading always includes some risks.

So you should be careful while upgrade your Wordpress.

What I should do before Upgrade:

1. Backup your theme folders because most of the themes do not support Wordpress 3.0 yet.

2. Check your plugins whether it support Wordpress 3.0 or not otherwise do a backup of all.

3. Backup database and files from hosting control panel to just make sure if something goes to wrong, you can restore safely.

Step Details to Upgrade to Wordpress 3.0:

1. Click on the “Please update now” message at top of your Wordpress dashboard.

2. Look at the top portion of the new page. It is reminding you to backup your files and database once again. You can upgrade by downloading the Wordpress folder or automatically. Anyway we will now proceed to do automatically. Click on “Upgrade Automatically” button.

3. Now wait for a short while and once update is done, you will be shown the message like below. Back to your dashboard and look it is now Wordpress3.0

Wordpress 2.9 is still working nice and trusted also. So no need to upgrade without any strong reason.

I think this world cup is really running on a tough challenge. Especially the Latin American countries are doing much better than the Europeans. Though I am a Brazil supporter, watched some another matches and also enjoyed.

Yeah!! I am talking about a great software Extreme Picture Finder, is able to download all the images from a particular web address.

Once installed, open the application. It might prompt you to show the starting guide, click on the “Skip” button to simply avoid it. Now it’s the interface of the main window.

Click on the “Project>New Project” Button at menu bar to create a new project.

A small Project Wizard window would appear. Enter the site URL you want to download the images from. Instead of site URL you can put a particular page URL to get the images from that page. If the site is password protected, enter the username, password to gain the access. Finally click on “Finish” to start the download.

Estimated time will depend on the quantity of pictures that you want to download. My recommendation is to start the process at night so that in next day morning when you will leave your bed, the images will get downloaded.

By default downloaded images would get saved in My Documents\My Web Pictures\www.entered URL.com.
