Some Useful tricks to Repair and Format your Pen Drive Share
Pen Drive problem is rapidly growing now a days due to the bad layer provided by the manufacturers. There are several problems occurred with pen drive like not formatting, not accessable, data lost etc. The most popular problem is a pen drive can not be formatted. Now I am telling about 5 tricks to format your pen drive in critical situation. There is not any solution of data lost problem because it’s a hardware problem of pen drive but the another problems can be solved by different approaches.
Situation: You want to format the pen drive by right clicking on it but not be formatted and show you the message “ Windows is unable to format it ”.
Solution: You have to format it by windows Manage option. For further details follow the approaches below
Windows Manage Approach to Format Pen Drive:
1. Open Start menu and right click on My Computer.
2. Click on the Manage option and go to the Computer Management window.
3. In the left pane of Computer Management window click on Disk Management. Now look at the right pane. There you will see all the drives including USB and CD/DVD with full configuration. Look at the screenshot below, in the right pane yellow colored region is your pen drive.
4. Right click on your pen drive and a pop up window will ask you to format. Click onFormat.
Thus you can format your pen drive but often after formatting in this way till your pen drive is unable to store data. Then you have to create a partition in the pen drive. To do so right click on the pen drive space and clicking on Create Partition option allocate the full space accessable. If formatting is not possible still follow the approach below…
Dos Prompt Approach to Format Pen Drive:
1. Click on Run and type cmd, then press Enter. It will open the Dos prompt.
2. Type FORMAT J:/FAT32 and press Enter. J is the USB drive letter and FS is the file system of your pen drive which you want to get after formatting.
Thus your pen drive may be formatted if not follow the next approach…
Boot Screen Approach to Format Pen Drive:
1. Plug in your pen drive and insert Windows XP installation CD (Bootable).
2. Restart your computer and press any key to boot from CD. (CD/DVD drive must be of first boot device)
3. It will appear the XP installation blue screen. Continue this process till the partition option appeared. Now you will shown your USB drive along with the hard drives. Format the USB drive in the way same as you have formatted your hard several times.
Thus your pen drive must be formatted.
