Suppose you don’t have a multimedia mobile set but still you want to play an awesome java mobile game, then what should you do? Going to buy a costly mobile? No!! You can play the game in your computer.

Yesterday I found the way to play mobile games in a computer. You can play any mobile games in your computer but must be of JAR (Java Application RAR) extension. The tool I am going to use is KEmulator. It’s basically a java runtime environment for running a java application.

Advantages of playing Mobile Games in your Computer over Computer Games:

1. Don’t have to install, just browse and start to play.

2. Doesn’t acquire huge physical memory space like the computer games.

3. There are some awesome mobile games that you can’t get for your computer.

4. Doesn’t require large space in hard disc because most of the mobile games is of only some KBs.

Anyway, come to the topic, first get the software from here. It’s a RAR file, extract it and click on the Kemulator.exe file to start to install. Once after done, run the application from program files or start menu.

Now it’s the main window. Then click on the “Midlet>Load jar…” at menu bar and then browse the JAR file of the game from your hard drive. Thus the game will be started within a few seconds.

It also allows you to rotate the screen vertically or horizontally as per the game’s requirement.

YouTube, the most popular video site in the web is now offering you to watch full length movies for free. You can browse your favorite movie from the collection of its 16 main categories.

Users are also allowed to directly upload a movie with their YouTube account. YouTube launched this service by creating a new directory “movies” under the domain name so if you would want to reach there, just type www.youtube.com/movies in the URL tab.

There is 16 categories with decent number of movies under each category. The service is still under develop and lots of movies are being uploaded per day. You can see the recently uploaded movies at right sidebar where I found Aradhana like old Bollywood movies.

Though YouTube generally shows low quality videos all the movies in this new section are of high quality.

No doubt this service will increase YouTube visitors twice and probably this is an attempt of Google to make YouTube world’s highest visited website from its currently 3rd position.

But I am getting wondered thinking how many servers with how much capacity YouTube uses to host such never ended collection of videos.

Shoshi English to Bengali Dictionary:An awesome Freeware for the Bangalees

I know about Leap Office, Bangla Font software for writing texts in Bengali font before but never heard about a software that can show the Bengali meaning of any English word in Bengali font. Yesterday I found this awesome software Shoshi English to Bangla Dictionary for the Bangalees generally live in West Bengal in India or Bangladesh.

The software is absolutely free with no trial version and full functionality. It can explain you the pronunciation, origin of any English word in Bengali font. First of all get the software from here and do an installation. But before to install make sure that Microsoft .NET framework 1.1 or higher is installed in your computer otherwise it will don’t work. If havn’t get from here.

Once after you have done the installation, run the application. Now it’s the main window, enter the English word in the search box at left pane and click on the “Go” button. The corresponding Bengali meaning will get shown in the right pane within a second.

The software will be of 89MB and this says it has a large database so that you can find almost all the word meanings.

How to Zoom-In a Particular Portion of a Video

In a previous article I wrote how you can zoom-in a portion while recording a screen video. But this article is about to zoom-in a portion of any video file. It might be a movie clip or video song.

Here the tool is Camtasia Studio I used. A few months back I also published an another article on video editing with Camtasia Studio. Anyway come to the point, first if don’t have download the software from its developer’s site.

Install and run the application. Now drag and drop the video file to the Clipbin of the software window. MPG or WMV file extensions are recommended otherwise it may don’t work properly. If you’ve the video file in any other format, convert it to WMV/MPG before dropping to Clipbin.

Now again drag and drop the video from ClipBin to TimeLine board for start to edit. You can run the video in Camtasia’s own video player to take a quick look which portion you want to zoom-in.

Now click on “Edit>Zoom-n-Pan…” in menu bar at top. It will open up the Zoom-n-Properties pane at left of the software main window. You can see there the video is appearing. Now go to the Timeline board and run the video.

Now watch the video and wait for the moment when your selected video portion will pass through. If found click on the + sign button (see screenshot below)to add a zoom-n-pan to that exact position of the video in Timeline board. Now you can zoom-in the portion by dragging the Scale cursor in the Zoom-n-Properties pane(see above screenshot). You can change the zoomed-in duration by dragging Duration cursor.

Thus add multiple zoom-n-pans at different positions and when done, click on “Finished” button at Zoom-n-Properties pane. That’s it, now finally you have to produce the modified video by clicking on “File>Produce Video As…” at menu bar.

How to Access your Facebook Profile Offline

Have you lots of important shares and album images in your Facebook profile and do you want to check these offline. Don’t worry, you can now backup all these to your local hard disc in one click. A newly launched Firefox add-on ArchiveFB allows you to do so.

Look at the URL of the html page below. Here I accessed my Facebook profile offline from my “Document and Settings” directory. I did this by just taking a backup with ArchiveFB.

Go to the Add-on link and add to your Firefox browser. The add-on is not verified by Mozilla yet so before to install it might prompt a warning message, just ignore and proceed.

Thus once installed ArchiveFB option will get integrated to menu bar of your Firefox browser. Now first get logged in to your Facebook profile and then click on “ArchiveFB>Archive”.

Now a window will appear and notify you about the javascript application, simply click on “Ok” and wait for several minutes while it is downloading the source files to your hard drive. It took approx 15 minutes for me.

Thus the backed up data will get saved in Mozilla folder under your Document and Settings directory. To reach to the exact location first click on “Archive>Show in Sidebar” option at menu bar. A left sidebar will appear, look at the bottom pane of that sidebar. There your backed up date will be shown with a name, date and time. Right click on it and then do a click on “Open” option to open up your Facebook profile in offline.

How to Place 125*125 Ad Slots on your Blog Properly

I know you’re already familiar with the table structure in HTML and here I used it to place my 125*125 ad slots properly. You can also try it for your blog if you have several ad slots unorganized.

You don’t have to write down the HTML codes, I have made it and published below. Just copy and paste in your widget section or anywhere you want and then paste the ad codes within the , tags. It’s really easier than CSS.

Batch Add Tags to Mp3 files with Mp3tag, a Freeware

An MP3 file is a collection of audio data. It doesn’t include any other information like tag, name etc. In order to add such extra attributes you’ve to put these in ID3 format at the beginning or end portion of audio data.

If you don’t have any idea about the tag of a mp3 file take a look to the screenshot above. Here SoftTricks.com is the tag and you can’t change it from properties window or anywhere.

Most popular MP3 websites like Songs.pk use this technique to promote their site offline. Anyway in this article I am going show you the procedure to add such a tag to any MP3 audio file. I have done it with a free tool MP3tag. Not only a single mp3 file, you can batch add tags to mp3 files.

So first get the tool from here and do an installation. Now run the application and click on “File>Add directory…” in menu bar. Browse the folder from hard drive which includes the mp3 files.

Thus once browsed, the mp3 files will get imported in the right pane of the software window. Now press “CTRL+A” to select all. Then you can see some drop down boxes at the left pane. Here the text in the “Artist box” will get shown as the tag. So enter your desired tag name in that box and click on the “File>Save Tag” option at menu bar. But remember it won’t add tags if a mp3 file is already tagged. So it’s recommended to first selecting all (CTRL+A)and then clicking on “File>Remove Tags” remove the existing tags from mp3 files.

Don’t think about saving the modified mp3 files because it will automatically get replaced with the previous. That’s it, from now whenever you will run these mp3 audios in any media player, the tag will be shown at the left-top of window.

SoftTricks changed its Theme to NeoClassical

Recently Page load time becomes a big issue for the bloggers. I was also working on it for SoftTricks and ultimately found SoftTricks has a high page load time due to its theme Arras. No doubt Arras is a great theme but it contains lots of files and extra features which are absolutely unexpected for a tech blog. It’s most suitable for wallpaper or media sites.

And ultimately I took the decision to change the theme and finally did it. This current theme is NeoClassical popularly known as the best alternative to Thesis. But the theme you are currently watching is not the exact same, I have made some changes and added a navigation at just below of header.

The original NeoClassical has a poor wrapper width which I changed to standard and also extended the header, sidebar width. I also noticed there are two extra sidebars left-sidebar, right-sidebar for showing recent posts which are not editable from backend. That’s why I have removed these two sidebars from sidebar.php file.

You might know the original Neoclassical includes only navigation at top of header but I had to get another one at just below of header. So I put a navigation code externally to it.

How to Create an Eye-Catching, Gorgeous Slideshow in PowerPoint with Sound Effect

Still now lots of people choose Microsoft PowerPoint to create a professional or educational presentation but you might don’t know that you can create something new, gorgeous, eye catching slides with it. I have Office 2007 installed and this tutorial is written for it so don’t know whether it works for Office 2003.

How to Add a Gradient Background Color or an Image:

Hope you have installed Office 2007. Then first run it and look there is a blank slide exists. We will now change its background color or add an image at background. Do a right click on the full size slide at right pane and choose the “Format Background…” option.

Now you will get a popup window includes all the background editing options. For adding a gradient background select the “Gradient fill” radio button and choose your favorite color from a list of 15 colors. You can further change the gradient composition by clicking on the “Color” option at below.

For importing any image as background choose the “Picture or texture fill” option and browse the image by clicking on “File” button. Now you can set the background for all slides by hitting the “Apply to All” button.

How to Add Sound while Slides will be changed:

Thus the prepared slide should look like gorgeous and attractive also. Now we will add sound while we will . First choose the “Animations” tab and click on the “Transition Sound” dropdown. You can get here lots of short sound clips for adding in between two slides. Some of them like Camera, Laser, Typewriter are really impressive.

Thus once done, save the final as PPT ( PowerPoint Presentation )format by clicking on Office Button>Save As.

Free Upload Files to any DropBox Account without putting Username, Password

You know DropBox is a great web service offers you to free upload files upto 2GB with password protection. You can also automatically upload files to your DropBox account. But in this article I am talking about how you can turn it to a free web server by removing the password protection. DropBox doesn’t allow you this but developers made it done.

Yes! Now you can allow everyone to upload files to your DropBox account without any username, password authentication. It becomes possible by a php script that you’ve to host on your server. But remember it’s built in php5 so before to host make sure your server supports php5.
