5 Most Useful and Attractive Features that Windows 7 Provides Share
Windows 7 provides a plenty of most useful and attractive features such as image burning, step recording, router configuring, mounting image files which you must require to use by a third party software. Here we are now going to describe about 5 most useful among them.
A) Record Your Steps and Keystrokes while you are in Trouble:
Suppose you are in a big trouble with your operating system but you can’t explain the situation to your friend, a computer expert. If you are using Windows XP or Vista then you have nothing to do. But Microsoft has solved this communication problem in Windows 7. It provides you a feature, called “Problem Step Recorder” which is able to record your steps including keystrokes for a long time. Not only that, further you can send it in html format. Just start the recording while some of your programs do not work properly.

1. Press “Start+R” and type PSR. Then press Enter.
2. A small window will appear to record your steps and keystrokes. Hit the “Start Record” button to start the recording.

3. As soon as you have hit the “Stop Record” button, save the recording in html format. Your steps and keypresses will be saved with texts and screenshots.
B) Burn ISO Images in 2 Simple steps:
Windows 7 facilitates you to directly burn ISO images to CD/DVDs. No third party software will be needed such as Nero, Magic ISO etc, just double click on the image file and choose CD/DVD drive location for burning. Then hit the “Burn” button to finally do it.

C) Create and Mount Virtual Hard Drive files:
You must heard about the software Microsoft’s Virtual PC, facilitates you to create a virtual hard drive for mounting an image file. There are also a lot of software to create or mount a virtual hard drive like Virtual PC. But it will be always better if your operating system provides you the facility to create a virtual hard drive for image mounting. Windows 7, the latest invention of Microsoft provides you this facility in 4-5 simple steps.

1. Press “Start+R” to start Run mode.
2. Type “diskmgmt.msc” and press Enter. A new window will appear for Disc management.
3. Now click on “Action” in toolbar and then choose the “Create VHD” option.

4. There will appear an another small window to ask you about the new virtual drive’s configuration. By clicking on the “Browse” button, navigate the location of the virtual drive which you want to create. Also adjust the virtual disc size and hit the “OK” button to continue.

4. Thus the virtual hard disc will be created in the specified location within 2-3 seconds. But still this volume is not allocated. Now we will proceed to make it healthy.

5. Right click on the newly created virtual hard drive in Disc Management window and click on “Initialize Disk” option.

6. Right click on the unallocated volume and select “New Simple Volume” option. Thus an another window will open to configure the new virtual drive. Continue the procedure by clicking on “Next” button.

7. As soon as you have hit the “Next” button two times, the appeared window will facilitate you to mount an image.

To delete the virtual drive right click on the drive symbol in disc management window and click on “Detach VHD” option.

D) Turn your Windows 7 Operating System into an XP Environment:

You must know that a lot of old but important software do not run under Windows Vista or Windows 7. Then there occurs a requirement of installing XP but if you are using Windows 7 then it’s not essential to install XP in another drive. Because Windows 7 provides you the “XP mode” facility to get an XP environment.

1. Download and install XP mode. It’s of 472MB so make sure that there is enough space in hard drive at the time of installation.
2. Download and install Microsoft Virtual PC. Both installations are straightforward.
3. Open XP mode application and supply a password for local XP mode user that XP mode seldom created on Virtual PC.
4. Turn of the automatic update option.
Thus XP mode will run like a parallel operating system and it’s fully XP environment. You can share an USB drive between these two environments.
E) Turn Your Computer/Laptop into a Wireless Router and Share Internet:
Windows 7 provides you the software by which you can effectively turn your PC (with wireless facility) into a router.
Once you have logged in, be able to share your internet connection among desktops, laptops, iPods etc. But it will work only if your wireless driver supports it so make sure that the installed driver is latest and updated.
Just open Control Panel and select the Sharing options. You must need to stay in a network at the time of configuring. It’s short and simple.

You can also use the network tool Virtual Router to work out the job smoothly.
